He played minor hockey and signed with the Stratford Mullions Jr. B club. He was picked by the Peterborough Pete’s of the Ontario Hockey League and played there for two years. Furthermore, he was drafted by the Hartford Whalers 2 times in the NHL Entry Draft in 1993. Furthermore, he played there for two seasons before being traded to St Louis. In 1995 Louis Blues formed.
